Micah 6:8…life….it really is that simple… “do justly, love mercy, walk humbly”

There seems to be so much confusion today about what it really means to be a Christian. It is so easy to get caught up in the “you have to believe this or that” and “you have to do this or that or the other thing” to be a Christian…and to be accepted by those who say they are Christians.

I’m not here to try to convince anyone to be a Christian, although I do believe salvation is only found through belief in Jesus Christ, his sacrifice on the cross and resurrection from the grave. What I do hope to do is help people understand that the sacrifice has already been made and there is nothing we can to do earn it, buy it, win it, steal it…all we can do is live it – and Micah 6:8 gives us direction on how we can do that:

“What does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God.” (NKJV)

Do Justly                   Love Mercy                      Walk Humbly

A little bit about me: Around 50ish years old; very happily married for 22 of those with 2 grown children; once a pastor in the Assemblies of God now an Academic Advisor at a Community College; Bachelor’s in Psychology from Michigan Technological University and Master’s in Education Training/Development from Central Michigan University; hobby carpenter (furniture and small-scale remodeling); love camping, driving, music, writing, editing, photography; absolutely LOVE rainy days, rainy weeks, downpours, thunder and lightning…

Thanks for visiting here…I hope you find something useful, encouraging, or engaging…we are all on a journey that ends at the same place – at the mercy of a loving God. If we can help each other along the way rather than trying to be the first in line, we will begin to understand what it means to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly…
